1. Old school chocolate marble cake recipe
Ingredients
- 10 egg yolks
- 8 egg whites
- 300 grams of margarine
- 100 grams of butter
- 250 grams of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sweet condensed
- 300 grams of medium protein flour, sifted
- 100 grams of powdered milk, sifted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- cocoa powder to taste
How to make
1. Mix the egg yolks, powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, butter and margarine. Beat with low speed mixer until well blended. Then, use the mixer at high speed to make a frothy, white, trailing dough.
2. Lower the mixer speed. Add flour and powdered milk. Turn off the mixers. Mix the dough well with a spatula.
3. In a separate container, stir the egg whites with a mixer until stiff (does not fall when flipped).
4. Add the egg white mixture to the egg yolk mixture. Stir well with a spatula. Divide the dough into two: 1/4 part mixed with cocoa powder and 3/4 part left to remain white.
5. Preheat the oven.
6. Prepare a baking sheet that has been smeared with butter and sprinkled with a little flour. Enter the white dough, then overwrite it with the chocolate dough, do it alternately. Make thread motifs using a stick or fork.
7. Bake the sponge cake for about 40 minutes (depending on the type of oven).
8. After it’s cooked (when poked with a stick the dough won’t stick), remove the sponge from the oven. Let it cool, then remove the cake from the tin.
