1. Purple Sweet Potato Talam Cake Recipe

Purple Coating Material

  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • 200 grams of mashed purple sweet potato
  • 70 grams of tapioca flour
  • 50 grams of rice flour
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 1 pack of vanilla
  • pinch of salt

White Coating Material

  • 175 ml of coconut milk
  • 15 grams of tapioca flour
  • 60 grams of rice flour
  • pinch of salt

How to make

1. Puree the coconut milk and sweet potatoes with a blender until smooth.

2. Mix tapioca flour, rice flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla powder. Add the potato solution. Stir well.

3. Mix all the white layer ingredients. Stir well, then strain.

4. Heat the steamer.

5. Prepare a mold that has been smeared with oil.

6. Pour the purple mixture up to 3/4 of the mold. Steam for 7 minutes.

7. Pour the white mixture on top of the purple layer. Steam for 15 minutes.

8. After the cake is cooked, let it cool, then remove it from the mold. Purple sweet potato cake is ready to be served and enjoyed.
