The talented chefs from Indonesia who were selected as Aussie Beef Mates included Chef Kartika Chandra, Chef Stefu Santoso, Chef Freddie Salim, Chef Muhammad Maliki (in collaboration with Chef Lukman Hakim), and Chef Rahmatullah Awaludin. Those who were selected, created delicious and quality dishes from NSW beef at the Aussie Beef Mates Jakarta event on 15-30 June 2023.
Before appearing at Aussie Beef Mates, one of these chefs had visited NSW, Australia with chefs from various countries. Through this program, chefs can also learn about the NSW beef production process from the farm until it can be served on a plate. Previously, they had also attended Australian beef masterclasses to study animal slaughter, eating quality, food safety, systems integrity and networking with other chefs.
Aussie Beef Mates takes place from 28 May to 2 June 2023. During its implementation, there are 16 chefs and food professionals from various countries including young Indonesian chefs and delegates from China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Middle East, Vietnam, England and United States visiting New South Wales.
The meeting was also part of the Aussie Beef Mates 2023 event initiated by Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) in collaboration with beef entrepreneurs in NSW. As is well known, Australian beef is enjoyed in more than 100 countries around the world and is renowned as a high quality and sustainable product. With the Aussie Beef Mates being held, it’s no wonder that the world’s attention is focused on the delicacy of Australian beef.
