And these addictive chardonnay Italian sausage bites (also known as “sausages” in our house) have it all. They’re easy to make, require only a few ingredients, and are ridiculously delicious. I only have them once a year at my family’s Christmas party. And it’s not Christmas without “sausages” making an appearance. The recipe is an annual recipe that my sister Julie and brother-in-law Jeff make. And with their blessing, I share the recipe with you!
Are they. And in case you’re wondering, it doesn’t have any strong wine flavor, just a sausage flavor (trust me, my husband knows this, and he even likes it). Why should you put them in? I made a quick spicy mustard.

Skillet Italian Sausage And Peppers
In a medium bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup plus tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon [more or less to taste] Sriracha hot sauce, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and black pepper. add pepper.
I was recommended premio brand sausages, which are sold at Costco [so 5 lbs!], but any good quality mild, sweet or hot Italian sausage will work.

To give these Italian sausage bites some color, place them on a metal, rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Next, slide your oven rack about 4 inches below the heater and preheat your broiler. Once preheated, slide the sausage pans under the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Then, using tongs, carefully turn the sausages and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
