Japanese style Ichigo Daifuku recipe

There are many variants of mochi fillings, one of which is interesting to try is the ichigo daifuku mochi or mochi filled with strawberries and red beans. You don’t have to go to Japan to taste it. If you’re interested in trying ichigo daifuku at home, just make it yourself using the following recipe.

Mochi Skin Ingredients:

  • 135 g of glutinous rice flour
  • 180 ml of strawberry flavored milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar/sugar
  • 1/5 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 drops of red food coloring

Strawberry filling:

  • lots of fresh strawberries

Red bean filling:

  • 250 g of red beans (soaked overnight)
  • 160 g of granulated sugar
  • 30 g of vegetable oil
  • 1.5 liters of water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pandan leaf
