- 15 medium sized prawns
- 1 petai board (optional)
- 1 lime juice
- 1 tsp salt
- Water and oil to taste
Ground spices:
- 8 shallots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 pieces of fried hazelnut
Coarse ground spices:
- 15 large red chilies
- 5 pieces of bird’s eye (according to taste)
- 2 red tomatoes

- 2 sticks of lemongrass
- 2 segments of galangal
- 5 pieces of lime leaves
