Soft Flesh Spicy Mackerel Pepes Recipe

  1. Boil mackerel with boiling water until cooked then remove and drain. Wait cold.
  2. Blend the spices, roast without oil until the spices are cooked and the water is quite sour. Wait cold or warm.
  3. Prepare banana leaves, take a spoon of roasted spices, one mackerel and basil leaves then arrange them in the banana leaves. Make sure that all parts of the body of the fish are smeared with spices.
  4. Wrap in banana leaves, secure with toothpicks.
  5. Heat the steamer, steam the pepes for about 20 minutes until cooked and cooked.
  6. Remove then let it cool.
  7. Prepare the grill, roast the pepes briefly so that the water content is reduced a lot and the pepes tastes more delicious.
  8. Serve pepes mackerel with warm rice.
