When I make this baked brie, I leave the brie wheel as is. Sometimes a little of the brie comes out during baking and mixes with the jelly – oh so good. But I also did this and cut off the top of the brie skin. Then, when baked with jelly, the brie wheel acts as a container/bowl of brie that is scooped out with crackers or baguette slices. If you leave the skin on (brie skin is completely edible), people can eat the whole inside or outside.

Like many people, I have my go-to recipes, but I also like to try different things. This recipe allows you to make both in one dish. The combination of broccoli and cheese flavors give this recipe an exciting familiarity, while the creaminess takes the classic flavor to a new level. No matter how you arrange them, you can’t go wrong with broccoli and cheese. What seals the deal for me with this dip, though, is the crunchy and buttery RITZ cracker topping. Delicious! Okay, enough about immersion. Let me show you how! How to make Broccoli Baked Cheese Sauce: Start by cooking the bacon. Once it’s done, set it aside on a paper towel and let it drain. Save the bacon fat in your skillet and cook the broccoli. You want the broccoli to be crunchy but tender. When the broccoli has cooled, cut it and the bacon into small pieces. Next, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and garlic powder in a large bowl. Then toss in the bacon, broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese and mix. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Then transfer all that goodness to an 8×10 inch baking dish. Before baking, combine crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter in a small bowl. Sprinkle this on top of the dip. (Every dip needs a little crunch, right?) Finally, bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the top is golden! The dip is now ready to serve. I like to serve it with Ritz crackers and broccoli florets. Fresh broccoli makes me feel a little less guilty about indulging, but it’s also very tasty with a dip. Here are my friends.
