When I make this baked brie, I leave the brie wheel as is. Sometimes a little of the brie comes out during baking and mixes with the jelly – oh so good. But I also did this and cut off the top of the brie skin. Then, when baked with jelly, the brie wheel acts as a container/bowl of brie that is scooped out with crackers or baguette slices. If you leave the skin on (brie skin is completely edible), people can eat the whole inside or outside.

For this baked brie appetizer, I used a smaller 8 oz. A “queen” sized wheel of brie, but the jelly was enough for 16 oz. “king” size bri wheel. If you’re having a party of 6 or more adults, I’d suggest the “king” size, because seriously, this appetizer is so good, it’ll be gone before you know it.
